Uncovering Baths at a Bed and Breakfast

Added Bathrooms Mean Added Comfort

These two bedrooms were significantly upgraded by converting closet space into private bathrooms.  The Yellow Dream Room closet had to be enlarged to make way for the half bath.  The new space consists of a vanity with a cabinet for storage.  The pocket door, a feature consistent with the period architecture of this older home, was installed to conserve space within the room.  Bead board siding was added to the walls of the Dream Room, as well as two headboards custom built by Leimkuehler Construction.

The Green Garden Room already had a closet large enough to accommodate the added half bath, but even more space was “found” by hiding the unsightly hot water heater.  It was positioned on a shelf inside the wall, but guests see only the chic white-framed mirror that covers it.  Creative placement of this appliance made it possible to install a pedestal sink that fits nicely into the period style and furnishings of this room and this home.
