Blending the ‘old’ with the ‘new’

The owners of this beautiful Victorian home already had every homeowner’s dream — a large second story bedroom suite complete with sitting room leading into a large bedroom leading into a bathroom.  A very old-fashioned bathroom with outdated fixtures.  The bath was modernized by removing the old cast iron tub and replacing it with a spacious 5-foot Onyx shower in a sandy stone color.  The interior grab bars and rain shower head are the same rich dark chocolate color of the sliding glass door frames.  The vanity top echos the same smooth surfaces of the shower, and the cabinet below provides much needed storage.  Simple, but modern…. a lovely and functional addition to the master suite.
